Uplands developer puts people first

Being one of the first families to move into a new community can feel a little uncertain. There are no friend recommendations, online reviews, or years of history to lean on. The neighborhood traditions haven’t formed yet. In many ways, you’re buying into a vision—trusting the developer to create the kind of place you’ll be proud to call home.

Community First

With more than 800 homes on 320 acres, Tarragon (the developers of Uplands) could have taken the lazy route. Minimal amenities. More homes packed together. They could have packed in more homes, minimized amenities, and focused solely on building roads and selling lots as quickly as possible. Instead, they made a different choice: invest in the community first.

Tarragon made the choice to put the Uplands residents needs over profit. Before much of the neighborhood even existed, trails were carved, parks were built, and the centerpiece of the community—The Club at Uplands—was already taking shape.

From Day One

At first glance, that approach might seem backwards. Why invest in a full fitness center, heated pools and spa, and gathering spaces when there are only a handful of residents to use them?

Because they’ve seen what happens when amenities come last. They become an afterthought—something to finish eventually, something to promise in a brochure. They wanted Uplands to feel like a community from day one, not once it hits some magic number of sold homes.

More Coming Up

The Club opened on January 5, 2026 and the community is still growing. Every resident who moves in gets to experience the neighborhood at its best right away— not after years of waiting for the good stuff to show up.

That’s what we’re up to at Uplands. Building something worth coming home to, right from the start. And there’s even more places to play opening soon. Tap to explore our homes and make your move.

There’s always more to see here…
